Comment Film Info & Credits
One in a series of seven video-animations featuring creatures (animals and fruit) that have been levitated in research labs exploring gravity and resistance. The suite explores the ambiguous relationship between suspension, redemption, perfection, virtuality and agency. One Minute to Heaven (mouse) features a mechanical mouse character circling an elliptical game-like stage inspired by the 1950 Seeburg light-gun arcade game, “Shoot the Bear”. The mouse responds to accurate shots of light by briefly mutating into fantastic, idealized and clinical subjects.
