Supercell –The Poetics of a Storm Cloud, 2014

Tara Cooper (Co-Director) & Terry O'Neill (Co-Director)
Kitchener, Canada

Comment Film Info & Credits
Supercell–The Poetics of a Storm Cloud oscillates between the science of weather, the banal interstate and the sublime spectra of a massive thunderstorm rolling across the Great Plains. Based on field research gathered while traveling with world-renowned severe weather expert, Roger Hill, we covered close to 6000 kilometers in search of supercells, rotating storm clouds that are best known for producing meteorological anomalies such as baseball-sized hail, wedge-shaped tornadoes and flash floods.
